I signed up for the annual subscription in July, 2021. In late September, HBOMAX came out with a promotion of $7.49 / mo for 6 months.
They did this because they were moving away from the Amazon platform and wanted to boost customer retention. I called to get the promo but it was only for new or returning customers. My complaint is that they are intending to retain former customers but are not interested in retaining me. This plan would have save me $25 over the next six months.
I know its not a lot but it is better than losing the $150 revenue you would get next year. I had to call 5 times over 2 and 1/2 weeks.
I never received the email with an explanation from the "advanced customer support team" that I was supposed to receive. No consideration, no follow-up...just plain bad service.
User's recommendation: I like the channel; hate the customer service. Not worth my time.
